Vince's Intro ;)

Hi, I'm Vince Panozzo. I'm a sophomore here at Grand Valley and my major is Political Science. I may decide to have a minor in French as well as Environmental Studies, but that is yet to be decided. I grew up in Grand Haven which is not to far from Grand Valley, and am still currently living and working there. I enjoy nature, writing, photography, video games, books, movies, and reading. I also enjoy current events, however nerdy that might sound. I really would like to study abroad in France. I also enjoy running and reading Harry Potter a lot. I'm a huge fan.

I don't have too much experience of blogging, so this experience should be enlightening. I hope to learn about a variety of topics of world history from the beginning to 1500 C.E through my blogging as well as everyone else's. I'm interested in all parts of history, but concerning this period of history, I'm probably more interested in ancient Greece, along with the Spartans and whatnot. The "Dark Ages" are fascinating as well. I encourage everyone interested to comment on my posts and I'm sure I'll comment on yours as well!

Happy Blogging!

Introduction

Hello friends,

My name is Courtney Benkert and I am from Muskegon, Michigan. I have gone to Orchard View High School my entire life and graduated in 2007. In high school I played volleyball, basketball, softball, and soccer. After graduating I chose to attend Muskegon Community College to satisfy my general education course requirements while playing on the Jayhawks softball team. After two years of a life filled with nothing but softball I decided to transfer to Grand Valley. I have chosen to major in Social Studies with an emphasis on history and a minor in political science. After just one month of school I have found myself a place in the Senior Citizens Club and, thanks to a wonderful person in this class, have become a part of The Dance Troupe. I have more than enjoyed my time here at Grand Valley and know that it is only going to get better.

My experience with Blogger is about equal to my experience with Mesopotamian's. With this being said, I am currently very intrigued by the website and the assignment, and am hoping that this emotion does not diminish throughout the rest of the semester. I am looking forward to reading everyone's blogs and hope you now feel the same about mine.

Comments are a girl's best friend.

-Courtney

Here's Me!

Hey All:

My name is Kathryn Lett, but I go by Katie or Kate. I grew up on the east side of the state in a tiny town just 30 minutes west of Port Huron. I'm a Junior Oakland University transfer student majoring in Language Arts with an emphasis in English. I'm minoring in Elementary Education. I am always around children and love learning from them. I'm energized by their passion to gain new information and their general zest for life. I have fallen in love with the Grand Rapids area and plan on staying on this side of the state for the next couple of years.
I have enjoyed my time in History 203 thus far and am excited to see where we will all go together through this experience of blogging. Pull up a chair, get comfortable, enjoy yourself, and as always, thank you for reading!

Intro: About Me

Hi! My name is Jamie Harrison and I am a sophmore here at GV. I have recently decided to major in social studies with a elementary teaching minor. I have not declared my major yet, so hopefully this class goes well and doesn't make me want to change my mind! This year I just started working at Papa John's and I live in Campus View. I'm from the east side of Michigan, in Macomb Township. It's pretty boring there and I definately love the west side sunsets way more. As a few other people have said, I have never blogged before, so hopefully I'm not awful and can get used to it pretty quick!
